USA HOCKEY REQUIREMENT
Each Player must register first with USA Hockey and then return to this Registration Session to signup for the 202-23 Season (not required for our NHL Learn to Play program).
Step 1: CLICK HERE to go to USA Hockey Registration and register your player(s). Be sure to PRINT and SAVE their confirmation code(s). Remember to register EACH of your players with USA Hockey. Each player must have their own unique USA Hockey confirmation number.
Please note: How you enter your name on the USA Hockey platform for registration is how you also need to enter it when creating your DASH account.
Step 2: Return to this registration and proceed. Later in this registration session you will need to enter the USA Hockey Confirmation Code that you received in Step 1.
Hockey Club Reno Ice
Hockey Club Reno Ice has coed hockey for ages 5 through high school year round.
Hockey Club Reno Ice is committed to making hockey accessible to every player in our community. We are excited to have partnered with Scheels to make this goal a reality. Please contact Trista Tookey or trista@renoice.com for scholarship information.
Youth Programs
Youth Hockey Progression Steps
Step 1: Learn to Skate – ages 3 and up. * It is very important to complete at least basic 2 level of LTS before moving to step 2 - Learn to Play.
Step 2: NHL Learn to play – ages 5-9. Once weekly Sunday sessions.
Step 3: Continue to play – this is our bridge program for players not yet ready to join their age group level. Once weekly ice sessions.
Step 4: Join your age group in our City League – from Sept – March. We practice one evening per week and play a game on Saturdays.
Step 5: Tryout for one of our Travel League teams. We hold tryouts at the end of August and compete in the NORCAL League.
Teams practice twice per week, and play roughly 22 games per season and participate in one travel tournament.
*Supplemental Step: Join RHA. This is a year round monthly membership group that guarantees you access to three training sessions per week plus four day camps throughout the year.
Summer: We play games once a week in order to keep developing our on-ice skills. We encourage our athletes to play other sports and participate in other activities in order to become well rounded humans.

Adult Learn to Play League (Ice Breakers) Spring 2024
Game slots will be on Saturday Mornings, 10:15am and 11:30am
The fun starts March 23rd, and runs for 8 weeks with a championship weekend at the end of the season.

Ice Breaker Spring Clinic 2024
This is for our adult players who are new to the game and looking to develop their hockey skills. We will focus primarily on skills and drills and add small area games to introduce game theory

Reno Hockey Academy (RHA)
RHA provides members extra training opportunities. Each week will have a minimum of three training sessions
Training sessions include:
Power Skating - Wednesday Mornings
Pond Hockey - Fridays @ 5:30pm - (X-ice games)
Sunday Skills - Sunday @ 7:30am
Shooting Clinics – added occasionally
The Reno Hockey Academy will also host four Day Camps throughout the year at no extra cost to members - Mid-Summer camp, Fall Break Camp, Holiday Camp, and Spring Break Camp. A typical camp will run Monday - Thursday and include at least 3 hours of ice per day.
Spring Break Camp the week of April 1st:

RHA Memberships - $175 per month ($285 for 2+ players in family).
*Drop-ins are no longer permitted for RHA sessions (except for the camps).
Open Hockey
Please note that all online reservation sales are final, they cannot be refunded or transferred.
There are three different types of Open Hockey:
Stick & Puck: practice session for players to practice skills. No games/scrimmages allowed. We ask that participants wear full equipment. Private lessons are not allowed during Stick & Puck Sessions.
Pick Up: scrimmage session. No checking. Full equipment including facial protection.
Hockey Lesson Sessions: hockey players taking private or semi private lessons to improve their skills with stick handling , goalie work, and power skating. Maximum of 5 are allowed in a semi private lesson. Skater’s may choose their own coach from our list of staff coaches. You must have a coach on the ice with you to attend. This is not a Stick & Puck session.
On these session’s skaters may use a stick and puck. No games or scrimmages are allowed on these times. No shooting the puck across the ice. Ice time must be paid in advance before getting on the ice. Your lesson fee is paid directly to your coach. Coaches are independent contractors and set their own fee and schedules.
