Private Figure Skating Lessons

Reno Ice offers private figure skating lessons for skaters of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're a beginner looking to build confidence or an advanced skater preparing for tests and competitions, private lessons provide personalized instruction at your own pace.

Arranging Private Lessons

If you’re interested in private lessons, please contact Joanie Malarchuk, Director of Figure Skating, at joanie@renoice.com. You may also observe our professional coaching staff at the rink and speak with them directly to schedule a lesson.

  • Lesson fees are set by each coach and paid directly to them.

  • Admission and/or skate rental fees are separate and must be paid to the rink before entering the ice.

  • Our coaches are independent contractors who schedule their lessons based on availability.

Freestyle Coaching & Guest Coaching

Freestyle sessions are designated for figure skaters to practice advanced skills and routines. If you are unsure if a freestyle session is right for you, please consult with Joanie or your coach.

  • If you wish to coach during freestyles, you must contact joanie@renoice.com to review guest coaching requirements and fees.

  • All skaters must sign in and make payment before stepping onto the ice.

  • A parent or coach must review the freestyle rules with a skater before their first session.
