Joel Grace, President

Chief Executive Officer, Locus Development Group, LLC

Joel is the Chief Executive Officer at Locus Development Group, LLC. Prior to which, Joel worked with Umpqua Bank and the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN). Born and raised in New England, Joel graduated from New Hampshire College and holds an MBA from the Southern New Hampshire University. Joel moved to northern Nevada in 2002, loves living here and has been active in commercial real estate, finance, and business development. He has extensive volunteer experience with the YMCA of the Sierra, the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation, the Junior Achievement Association, NAIOP, and BANN. Joel is on the Board of Trustees for the Reno Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA). Joel plays Hockey weekly, and coaches teams at Reno Ice. Joel and his wife Amy have four children, McKenna, Ayden, Luke, and Quinn.

 

Cameron Sorenson, Vice President

Principal, Nevada HR Team

Cam grew up in Canada and has participated in organized hockey programs across North America. Professionally, Cam brings more than 25 years of leadership and business development experience (most of which right here in northern Nevada) working with such world class companies as Starbucks, Intuit, and Best Buy. He’s has also volunteered with Sierra Inline Hockey League and the Society of Human Resource Managers. In addition, Cam has extensive youth program coaching experience, 10 years with the American Youth Soccer Organization and 15 years with youth hockey.

 

Christopher Ryan O’Neal, Treasurer

CEO, JOCHCO Investments

Chris is a local entrepreneur, currently acting as CEO of JOCHCO Investments, LLC. JOCHCO Investments owns a number of local businesses including The Joint Chiropractic, Famous Dave’s Barbeque, SurgCenter Development, Sierra Nevada Bioscience, and Modern Acupuncture. Chris received his BA in Philosophy from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2003, and in 2010, he moved to northern Nevada to be near family. Chris is married to his college sweetheart Shannon, and they have two beautiful children- daughter Talley and son Maverick.

Dan Rowan, Board Member

Doctor of Optometry, Mayberry Vision

Originally from Western Canada, Dr. Daniel Rowan pursued his higher education at Norwich University in Vermont, thanks to a hockey scholarship. He earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in biology and sports medicine before completing his Doctor of Optometry (OD) in 2001 from the New York College of Optometry in Manhattan, New York. After graduating, Dr. Rowan moved to Nevada, where he founded EyeZone and created a multi-location practice that was sold to private equity. He is now the owner of Mayberry Vision. Dr. Rowan has previously served on the Board of Directors at Somersett Country Club and founded Doctors Supporting Troups for the PGA tour stop in Reno. Additionally, he created the Military Hero of the Game and Charity Stripe Celebrity Shooter for Nevada Wolfpack football and basketball games. In addition to his optometric practice, Dr. Rowan is the owner of two Doughboys locations (Northwest Reno and Sparks) and was the previous owner of Z-Pizza in Caughlin Ranch. Together with his wife Amy and their three children, Dr. Rowan has called Reno home for two decades. Outside the clinic, he is an avid golfer, camper, and fisherman, and has coached local youth baseball and hockey teams. He takes great pleasure in watching sports and is a dedicated fan of various sports, including supporting the local Wolf Pack and his beloved Edmonton Oilers.
